Philippians 1:12 NKJV
“But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,”
Philippians 1:12 NKJV
Paul had gone through many storms in life for the sake of the gospel. Persecutions and imprisonment that Paul experienced have turned out to expand the kingdom of God.
Whatever Paul had gone through actually had served the purpose in his heart for the kingdom of God.
We often question God or ourselves when some work comes to a stop, when something is delayed or some tragedies take place.
We sometimes take things into our own hands and do our own things and not very satisfied with the outcome of it.
But here we can clearly see that God used everything that happened to Paul for his own benefit, to fulfil what he had purposed in his heart.
God did not bring the hardship to Paul but whatever the enemy throws at Paul, God used it as a platform to go higher and a footstool to step into the things God wanted him to do.
Paul did not waste time, his energy and his emotions to reason why this happened but he used every single one of it as an opportunity for the kingdom of God.
Because Paul did not only know that Jesus can work all things together for good, but Paul put his faith in Jesus who will do it.
When we face trials in life, do we become an unbeliever? Instead of believing that Jesus would make everything work together for good, do we panic and take things into our own hands?
Paul stayed as a believer not just in word but in deed. It is great to know what God has said but putting it into practice in our lives will bring out the fruits of it.
We need to trust God and keep looking for His directions to lead us into triumph. Don’t sell our victory by our panic and impatience.
Let us believe that all things will work out for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
Blessings
