Mark‬ ‭14:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭14:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

While Jesus sat at the table in Simon’s house, a woman came with an alabaster flask of very costly oil.

It might have been her savings, her investment or something that she treasured with all her heart. But she was willing to lose it totally just to dress Jesus with the fragrance of her love.

It was not just about breaking or giving something to Jesus. It’s about a divine exchange to lose her earthly possessions for an eternal treasure.

They might have been many with expensive oil but only one came with a proof that Jesus is more important than her earthly possessions.

What she did was not just an act of love and kindness but she volunteered to take part of being the privileged woman to anoint Jesus the Son of God before His death.

Her heart for Jesus is demonstrated by her act and sacrifice. We live in a world where people look forward to only gain.

We become a glutton in the church instead of givers.

If we have been blessed by the ministry, blessed by someone or loved ones, we must learn to find a way to give back and bless them.

The more we bless them, the more we will see the fruit of it in our lives. Takers will not have a productive life, but givers always will well up to abundance.

When we find the place where we are nurtured spiritually, we bless them so that we will grow and produce fruits in our lives.

Let us find opportunities to give towards His kingdom - helping, encouraging, building His people for His glory and honour.

Blessings
