Acts 2:12 NKJV
“So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
Acts 2:12 NKJV
Praying in tongues is such a powerful gift of God to mankind. It is the Holy Spirit that prays, reveals and edifies not only ourselves but also others.
Often we associate praying in tongues with
self-edification. In this verse, it clearly showed that people from different tribes and tongues heard of the wonderful works of God.
It is a gift that empowers us to live a supernatural life in God. God is bigger and His ways are greater than the ways of men.
Some were amazed, some were perplexed and others were mocked.
There will be many people who may see and feel things differently about the gift of tongues.
But if we trust God and live by faith, we too can be the instrument of God to declare God’s glory to all of His creation.
This supernatural language is of the Holy Spirit and the Bible says that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes and we will be His witnesses to the world.
Every time we speak in tongues, the Holy Spirit is witnessing the Father and Jesus into areas of our life and He is also witnessing to the unbelievers.
It is a powerful gift that brought three thousand souls to the kingdom of God.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Let us continue strong in the spirit, praying, worshipping and believing God for a great harvest.
Blessings
