Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.”

The word of God shows us a powerful picture that if an ax is not sharpened and is dull then the one who is using it is going to struggle and it will take more time and energy.

That person can be exhausted from cutting, not achieving their target yet time is consumed which can be used to achieve other things in life.

The word of God brings God’s wisdom and the word of God is a double-edged sword.

If we give ourselves to learning, studying, and practising God’s word in the power of His Spirit then we will be like a sharp ax that will cut without much effort.

God’s word will sharpen every area of our lives and will help us in redeeming the time so that we will not only fulfil God’s purpose but enjoy the fullness of life that God has prepared for us.

Wisdom is to know God and His word. Knowledge flows like a river and gives life to every area of our life.

We will be a fruitful tree and bring forth good fruits in every season.

Every ax needs constant sharpening when used. Frequent sharpening means the ax is going to be constantly ready to be used at any time.

Let us sharpen our lives with the word of God and pray in the spirit so that we will be sharp to cut away things that are of the enemy and eat of the good things God has brought to us.

Let us continue to be ready by sharpening our minds and heart daily in the word of God.
