Mark‬ ‭8:35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭8:35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus is teaching us how to live a fruitful life that will last and cannot be stolen by the world and its system.

When we live in a world that tries to call evil good and good evil. It leaves a lot of things without security that cannot guarantee a good return at the end.

In today’s world, you can say something and lose your job. You stand for personal good conviction and be punished in the society.

Jesus is teaching us if we would trust Him and live life according to His word and expand the kingdom of God, we will accumulate inheritance that no one can take away from us.

When we get to know Jesus, His love and the invitation to live as a citizen of the kingdom of God. We sometimes will find ourselves losing some things that we love, like and desire.

This happens because God begins to take away things that will destroy us, things that will draw us away from Him and remove us from the bad company of friends.

He then begins to bless us with things that are far greater, far above what we could ever ask or think.

When we lose our lives for the kingdom, it is a good thing because it means we are guaranteed great things for eternity.

It means that we have graduated to receive amazing things from God that will satisfy our soul.

The truth is living life apart from God and His word is living the life of a system, a culture and someone’s agenda.

It is better to live the life of God because we can be assured that no matter what happens, we have a great future in the end.

Therefore, it is good to lose the things we think is great for us and things we like for the kingdom's sake.

When God takes away perishable things, He gives us imperishable things that will fill our hearts and minds with unspeakable joy and peace.

The world wants to entice us with perishable things that only look good for the eyes but God has in store greater things for all who would deny self and follow Him.

We have desires, thoughts, feelings that has been shaped by this world. We need to reshape our thoughts, feelings and desires according to God and His word.

God has sent His Holy Spirit to guide us through His word and lead us through His ways.

Blessings
