“Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭38‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus told His disciples to pray that the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into the harvest field.

It is very interesting to note that the one whom Jesus called to pray are the ones that was sent.

The ones who prayed for God to heal, deliver and set free were the ones that were sent to heal, deliver and set the people free.

We have been very good in praying to the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers and thinking that God would send someone else.

The same scenario is also found in Luke 10:2. Jesus asked them to pray and Jesus sent those who pray to go.

When we pray, that is the first part, it will stir our hearts for the harvest, it will build our faith for the harvest so that we can fulfil the second part as we ourselves heed the call to go to the harvest field.

We mostly have been praying but not going, when we pray with the heartbeat of God, our hearts start to beat with the same love God has for His people and that will propel us to share Christ to others.

When we pray, we also need to be ready to act on it. Take the first step of faith and begin to see how God would lead us by His Spirit.

One of the purpose of prayer is to get our attention on the needs so that we will be able to minister God’s kingdom to them.

Let us be bold to pray and be bold to do as the Lord leads us every day.

Blessings
