“But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus gave power to the disciples to go out and cast out unclean spirits, to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases.

But Jesus specifically told them not to go to the Gentiles or to the Samaritans but to the lost sheep of Israel.

This does not mean that Jesus excluded the Gentiles or the Samaritans.

Jesus came for the whole world to be saved.

Jesus sent the disciples to His people who were crying out for God and His ways. Those who carry the promises of God through generations first.

It also means that Jesus sent His disciples to the hardest ground for they were the people full of religious beliefs and full of rituals.

He sent those who knew His promises yet were twisted by religion which caused them to live life without power.

In Christ, we are the sent ones. This means we have been empowered to go and heal the sick, cast out unclean spirits, and bring the good news of Jesus.

No matter how hard the ground may look, the power of God that is in us is far greater than any strongholds out there.

We need to believe and be bold in the power of Christ and not lean on our own understanding.

Let us not look at our natural abilities but look unto Jesus who had empowered us to do His work.

Blessings
