“Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages.”

The problems in the society during the day of John the Baptist are still the same today.

Greed, pride, selfishness, and everything that is of personal gain at the expense of others.

The power to be free from those bad characters is not trusting in ourselves but placing our trust in God who is in us.

The changes in us still come from within but from a different source. It comes from a source that has destroyed the power and influence.

For God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think according to the POWER that works within us. Ephesians 3:20.

When we put our trust in the One who has overcome the world, then we can overcome the bad habits by producing the good which is from God.

This is the reason it is so important to have Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

For He is the one that established that power within us as we confess and believe in Him as Lord.

Therefore, His power that is within us will overcome everything that is of evil and produce everything that is of God.

What shall we do as the first step?

The first step is to believe in Jesus and put our complete trust in what HE HAS DONE for us.

Keep seeing ourselves in Christ as one who has overcome the world.

Keep seeing ourselves producing good fruits and keep seeing ourselves just like Jesus here on earth and glorify Him in every area of our lives.
