John 11:35 NKJV
“Jesus wept.”
John 11:35 NKJV
This is an event that took place when Lazarus died and was buried in the tomb for four days.
Jesus had a conversation with Mary and Martha. Mary and Martha knew Jesus well and they were in close relationship with Jesus.
They knew Jesus and they were followers of Christ. They have seen and heard the miracles Jesus performed.
But sorrow has taken over their knowledge of the power of God that they knew.
Jesus wept. Could it be because Lazarus died and Jesus wept like everyone else or could it be that Jesus wept because they all failed to see who Jesus is and what He can do?
Jesus knew that He was going to raise Lazarus out of that tomb. Therefore, it gives us more reason to believe that Jesus wept because they did not believe that Jesus is life.
Many of us believe in Jesus, believe what He has done, and believe that our inheritance is set in Christ but when we are faced with adverse situations do we really trust Him and still believe?
Mary answered Jesus saying yes, He will raise him up on the last day. Perhaps our faith is when it is all over on the last day. All will be vindicated.
But there are many things that we as His children need to possess right now. There are miracles that are still waiting to be manifested by His own children.
God’s authority can’t be used when everything is over. It is to be used right now and in every situation.
Jesus has given us all the keys of the kingdom and His power to take dominion over the earth.
We can’t repeat the religious sayings in His time and just go about our own way. We need to take some steps of faith and start to move according to His word.
Let us step over into the faith zone and believe when we step over in Christ, all will be well.
Blessings
