Acts 18:26 NKJV

So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. Acts 18:26 NKJV

Apollos, a man discribed in the scriptures as a fervent man in the Spirit, eloquent man and mighty in scriptures. Yet he was preaching the baptism of John based on the old covenant. We only can give what we have received. Though Apollos was a fervent man,yet he can give only what he had learnt and passed on that knowledge. Aquila and Priscilla heard him and spoke to him about the way of God more accurately. This is important that we don't get caught up by the doctrine of the past when Christ has set for us a new foundation and a new doctrine that is found in Him. All things are held in Him and our life needs to be built on the foundation that Jesus Christ laid for us. We who are walking in the foundation that Jesus laid ought to help others to understand the foundation Jesus has laid for each one of us. Apollos was willing to embrace the new wine that God our Father poured into us through Christ Our Lord. So must we embrace all that Christ has done and all that He wants us to do. To be the voice of truth in the midst of all other voices. Our true nature and identity is only found in Christ and not according to the world. Let us share the kingdom of God that has come through Christ Our Lord Jesus. Blessings Ambrose Francis
