I Corinthians 15:56 NKJV
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. I Corinthians 15:56 NKJV
The truth that God reveals set people free. It's important to understand what we meditate on will manifest in and through our life. Growing up as a kid in Sunday school, we were taught to meditate on the ten commandments. The ten commandments that God gave is to let people know how sinful they are and there is no hope for mankind by their own works. The end result of sin is death and sin gained its strength from the law. This might be a shocking news to some but this was me falling into sin every time I want to keep it. God wants us to meditate on Him and His finished work on the cross. Life flows from God to all mankind through Christ and not through the ten commandments. God wants us to renew our mind in what He has done in us. He wants us to see the new creation we have become in Him. God does not want us to try and plan to live a holy life by keeping the law. God wants us to live out His holy life because that is what He made us to be, holy. Looking at what we must not do so often causes us to do it. There is nothing good going to come out by looking at the bad. Christ in us is the hope of glory for every believer. Living and abiding in Christ and His works liberate every soul to live life for God. It is time to meditate on all that Christ has done for us to see who we are in Him and who He is towards us.
