Galatians 3:1 NKJV
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? Galatians 3:1 NKJV
The word of God declares that "you shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free." This is the TRUTH, we are justified by faith in Christ Jesus. Paul was teaching in chapter two about the law versus the grace of God by faith. We have received all in Christ Jesus and have become the righteousness of God. Obeying the truth refers to obediently living life according to the finished work of Christ. What we have received in Christ is what our Father in heaven planned for when He sent Jesus to die for us. To choose to stay in the law or the old covenant is basically to discard the entire plan of salvation of our loving Father. Therefore, to believe others than what Christ has done for mankind is walking away from the truth. To believe in the old covenant and the law is to believe in the flesh and not the spirit. We are born again in Christ as a spirit being. We are the righteousness of God and have been filled with all spiritual blessings. To put our trust in our flesh is pride. To put our trust in what Christ has made us to be is humility. We are called to walk in the wisdom and knowledge of God and not man. God who has made the universe knows far better than all the men put together. To follow God and to live by faith in Christ is the best choice and the best life we can have. We must be careful not to fall back to the works of the flesh but work out all spiritual blessings that God has put in us through Christ. Let us live in the perfect work of Christ and glorify our Father in heaven by the power of His Spirit. Blessings Ambrose Francis
