‭‭Acts‬ ‭7‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“‘Then the Lord said to him, “Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭7‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The high priest and religious leaders wanted to stop the disciples from sharing the resurrection of Christ and the gospel of His kingdom.

The religious leader asked Stephen to stop because every time Christ is preached and the manifestation of His power is seen by all, it puts the religious leaders in a very bad position.

The truth will reveal every evil heart and evil person. The religious people want to stop this truth as it puts them as murderers.

Stephen shares that these things cannot be stopped as in the days of Abraham, Joseph and now Christ. It was not the work of a man but of God.

Stephen explained that God told Moses to take off his shoes.

This is to show that Moses cannot stand on his natural abilities nor the wisdom he learned in Egypt to deliver God’s people.

Stephen starts off by saying Abraham could not bring out the promise by himself but by God.

It is not man’s ability but God’s supernatural power that brought about Abraham’s promised child.

Joseph was imprisoned as a man but liberated the nation's hunger by the wisdom of God.

Moses wanted to bring justice to his people by his own might and the wisdom he had learned but it drove him away from the very purpose he was born to do in this world.

But when he took off his sandals, he took off himself and put on God and walked in His power.

What Stephen was saying to the religious leaders is that no matter what the religion is planning to stop this gospel and the power of God, it is UNSTOPPABLE.

We have this UNSTOPPABLE power within us as a believer of Christ.

What we do about that power which Christ has put within us will determine our impact in this world.

The knowledge of His glory and His power will be spread throughout the world when we start to walk in Him.

Are we walking in our own abilities and wisdom or are we walking in the power of God and in His wisdom?

Let us take off the sandals of our knowledge, value and self. Let us put on God’s knowledge, walk in His kingdom and live as Christ lived on this earth.

Blessings
