Romans 8:15 NKJV
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15 NKJV
The Bible clearly says that we have not received a spirit of bondage to fear. This means that every time we are fearful, it indicates that we are bound by something that is not of God. We can be bound by people, authority, wrong belief, leadership, past experiences and so on. Fear is the fruit of being bound by something that is not of God Therefore, we must break that bondage in Jesus Name. We are able to do this because we have received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Amen. The Spirit of adoption is a powerful statement of who we have become in Christ Jesus and who we represent from now on. This is a public announcement to the spiritual atmosphere, announcement to the spirit world that God's sons and daughters have been born and appointed to rule and reign with God. This means we are God's spokesmen and we represent the authority and power of God here on earth through Christ. We are adopted in the spirit which is eternal which makes us more powerful than being adopted in the flesh. This covenant is sealed in Christ for eternity. Jesus as the Son of man adopted as Son of God when He became 30 years old. To fulfil Jewish custom as a father declares to the community that now son and the father have equal power to represent the family. Now we in Christ have been adopted not as children but mature children to handle our Father's kingdom here on earth. Hence, our Father gave us the keys of the kingdom to open and to close in His Name. Let us be the voice, the hand and feet of God to the world. To be the light to shine in the darkness.
