The word of God teaches us that the mouth of the righteous is a well of life. What does the Bible mean the mouth of the righteous? Every person who is righteous before God has the capacity, ability and the power to speak forth life. We know that the Bible declares that none are righteous except God. This is one of the reasons why Jesus Christ gave His life for us. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offered that righteousness to all mankind. The word of God says in 2 Cor 5: 21 that in Jesus, we become the righteousness of God. Therefore in Christ, we have become righteous and have the ability, capacity and power to speak forth life. No matter what our circumstances may be, we can speak forth God's life and God's abundance by faith. Jesus said that if anyone drink of me (by having Jesus as their Lord and Saviour), from their innermost being, shall flow rivers of living water. As a child of God, we are to speak life into every area of our life. When we see and hear God's promises, we need to speak it out over our lives, our family and the world. Every violence covers the mouth of the wicked. Negative words create a negative atmosphere and produce results that bring destruction. It is important that we as children of God speak forth life and set a healthy environment for our growth. The power given to us is the power to speak forth life. That we may heal every brokenness and restore lives in Christ Jesus. Let us use wisely the blessings the Lord has put in our lives by believing and speaking into every situation.
