Acts 5:15 NKJV

so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.

Acts 5:15 NKJV

Peter is a vessel of God's glory and power.

He brings the presence of God everywhere he goes and what he carries affects his surroundings.

It is so obvious that in Peter's life, many brought the sick to him and believed that when Peter's shadow touched them, they will be healed.

Peter believed the One who lived in Him is a Miracle Worker, Healer, Deliverer and what He believe manifested in his life.

At the Beautiful Gate, Peter told the lame man "silver and gold I have none but I give you what I have". Peter knew who lives in him.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus told His people to make disciples, never just a convert, to fill up church buildings.

This means all of us who are believers are disciples of Christ. Therefore, these signs will follow if we believe the One who lives in us.

When we can learn to let the One who is in us, to lead us and guide us, then we too will see His power and glory flow out of us.

Peter did not start living like that in the beginning but he grew into that flow as he continued to be steadfast during persecution and when he was rejected.

People did not line up on the street at the beginning of Peter's ministry but as he continued on the great commission, he began to flow in God's glory and power.

When we become a practising child of God, we will see what we practice eventually will show through our life.

We all have received what Peter received which is Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. Jesus said upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

To say that is not for me is to say I don't want to be a practising child of God. We all can do it because greater is He who lives in all of us than the one who is in the world.

Let us be a practising child of God and persistently carry out our mission as an ambassador of the kingdom of God.

Blessings

Ambrose Francis
