To fully understand this passage, we need to know that at the end of chapter 19 Jesus was talking about kingdom reward. Then he shared about the vineyard owner looking for workers, from the first one He found till the last hour.

Just like the harvest season, the end of the picking season is more critical than the beginning because it is ripe and will start to rot if delayed.

The owners will hire for the sake of saving the harvest. If the workers are thinking the same, then they will not be thinking who gets what but be grateful that more have come to save the harvest.

Kingdom rewards are not about how much we can gain personally but it is about bringing joy to our Father in heaven and working towards bringing the harvest of souls in.

Yes in regards to the kingdom of God, the end is a very important and critical time for all workers in the kingdom of God to bring in the souls to Jesus.

This is not about what's fair or what can I gain out of this. It is about winning the lost for Jesus so that they too can be saved.

We must not be competitive but complimentary, we must not bring rivals but revivals and we must not be jealous but proud of each other in the kingdom.

Let us stir each other in the Lord and encourage each other for in the end, we are all going to be together as a family of God.
