Mark 9:35 NKJV

And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

Mark 9:35 NKJV

The disciples were talking among themselves about who will be the greatest.

It is natural for someone to have the enthusiasm to be great, to feel great and enjoy it.

God is the greatest and we were made in His image and likeness. Therefore, the desire to be great is not wrong but how we get there is very important.

The world's way of being great is to do better than others, achieve your goals in life no matter who we trample on along the way and have certain control over the number of people.

The way of the world will lead to hardness of heart, pride and greed.

Jesus shows us the right way to be great, feel great and enjoy greatness and that is to serve one another, put others before us and help others in life.

By doing this, we will see the glory of God manifest when we do things that man can never achieve with their own abilities.

When we have served someone, helped someone, encouraged and blessed someone, we will feel great and we will enjoy greatness.

We don't have to have a degree to be great, which could be impossible for many but God made a way for all to be great, by serving one another.

Let us use every talent, gifting, time to love and serve one another in Christ our Lord.

Blessings
