But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

When Jesus saw that the disciples forbid the children to come to Him, He was very displeased with them for their judgement.

Jesus has made Himself available to all generations, tribe and tongue. There is no one that we should stop from coming to Jesus for He welcomes everyone who needs Him.

We must not stand in the way of God's love reaching out to people, no matter what they might have done or what they have been through.

Jesus is teaching us that the kingdom of God is like a child who has the simplicity of faith. They don't think that they have to do something to earn it.

Children know that they can enjoy all that the father has. They just know that there will be food for them to eat, clothes for them to wear and they don't really have to worry about these things.

Children trust their father and not their own dignity or abilities. They take pride in their father and do not take pride in themselves.

This is important in our walk with God. We need to be confident in God our Father. Confident that all that belongs to our Father was given to us through His Son Jesus Christ.

Let us continue to cultivate this beautiful dependency and relationship with God our Father. Let us trust Him completely as a child would trust his father.
