Matthew 16:17 NKJV
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 16:17 NKJV
Jesus asked a question that got the attention of His disciples about people's views versus theirs. As Peter gave a thought towards it, God our Father revealed it to him.
Jesus called Peter blessed not because he had received some healing or wealth. Jesus called Peter blessed because Peter got a revelation of who Jesus is.
The first key to being blessed is to have a revelation from God and His word.
This is because when the Creator reveals, it gives us the true knowledge that will cause blessings to flow in and through us.
Moses turned aside, looked, and went to the burning bush where God spoke to him, yes, through the burning bush.
When Peter gave his attention to who Jesus is, our Father in heaven revealed who Jesus is to him.
Every time we turn our hearts and mind to God, towards His word and His Spirit, we will receive a revelation that will bless our lives.
It does not mean we will not be challenged and tested but it does mean that when we are tested, the revelation of who Jesus is will empower us to conquer every challenge that comes our way.
God is speaking all the time. Only when we give our ears, hearts and minds then we will hear Him.
Let us get to know Him and let our lives be built upon the revelation knowledge of who Jesus is.
Blessings
