Matthew 14:28 NKJV
“And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.””
Matthew 14:28 NKJV
After the miracle of feeding thousands of people, Jesus got the disciples into the boat to go to the other side while Jesus stayed behind to make sure all have gone home.
Then there was a situation with storms.
The boat was tossed by the sea and ended up in the middle of the sea.
The disciples saw someone who looked like Jesus walking on the water and Peter cried out saying “Lord, if it is you, tell me to come to you walking on the water.”
Peter has by this time knew that whatever words that comes out of Jesus's mouth will come to pass.
Therefore, to confirm that this is Jesus, Peter got Jesus to say the word.
We know the story that Peter walked on the water.
Peter knew Jesus’s word will come to pass to the extent of putting his life in danger, to do something that is against the natural law of gravity.
Do we believe all that Jesus has promised like Peter did?
Jesus can do far above what we could ever think or imagine and it is all concealed in Christ.
Through Jesus we have the power to override every natural law to receive things supernaturally.
It all starts by knowing Jesus and His love for all God's children.
Let us get to know Jesus, love Him and follow Him all the days of our lives.
We too can look unto Jesus and trust that His word will hold steady over every storm of life.
