Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The story of the prodigal son reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father. It is about His love and compassion for His children.

Here is a son who had rejected his father, dishonoured him by taking his father’s inheritance while his father was still alive and brought shame to the family line.

Yet when the son chose to turn and go back to the father, his father ran, kissed him, clothed him and put a ring of sonship back on him.

Notice all this did not happen in his father’s house but outside.

Before his son can enter the house, he is restored to his original position.

The father spared his son of public shame. The father brought his son home as one who is the heir to his inheritance.

Jesus told this story to reveal our Father's love towards us.

God has covered us with His kisses, clothed us with His righteousness and given us the power or rights to become sons of God.

It is up to us now to live as His beloved, as His own and reign with Him in this world.

Remember His love for us is the same love Jesus shared with all.

Therefore, as we enjoy this amazing love of God, let us not deprive others of His love for them.

Blessings
