John‬ ‭12‬:‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.”

Jesus spoke in secret which revealed what the disciples would become after Jesus died and rose again.

Jesus is the light to all mankind and now believers have become the carriers of that Light.

This means believing that Jesus is the light makes us the instrument of God in this world to shine forth the light.

People who don’t know Jesus seek the light but we who have Jesus become the one who shines forth the light.

Christ wants the world to see the light and the only one who is able to do that is the one who is carrying Him.

That means all of us who believe in Jesus are to let that light within us to shine.

We don’t pray for God to shine.

He is God and is always shining, but we, the one who carries Him, need to step out in faith and release that light to the world.

For too long the church has been praying for God to do what He told His children to do.

Instead of walking in unity with God, we find our prayers are against what God is expecting His church to do.

God has empowered us with Himself. He now lives in us with His entire kingdom and He sends us out as His ambassadors to this world.

We are not to beg Him to do it but to change the world by His power that is within us.

Let us rise up.

Let us shine His light and proclaim that Jesus is Lord.
