“So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin];”

Repentance is not about saying sorry, it’s not about feeling bad about things that we have done.

Repentance is making a deliberate choice to turn away from the activity, lifestyle, belief system and turn to God’s way.

Repentance is not beating down self for the wrong we have done but it’s about receiving the grace of a new life in Christ Jesus.

Since God’s word is alive, active and powerful, it will bring about fruits that will display the choice we have made.

There are only two kingdoms that we can be belong to. God’s kingdom or satan’s kingdom.

We cannot stay in both kingdoms or operate in both of them. We cannot hold on to things on both kingdoms.

We cannot serve two masters. We need to make a choice.

People either “repent”, choose to turn to satan or choose to turn to God.

If we see things in this perspective, then it makes things easier to know what choice we are making concerning following which kingdom.

There is only one truth that sets us free and that is what Christ has done for us.

Choosing to believe what Christ has done, choosing to believe what Christ has given and choosing to believe what Christ wants us to do is true repentance.

Consistency is the key to change habits, key to change mindsets and our belief system.

We need to be consistent in turning to God’s way or else we will keep losing direction and keeps going back to our old ways.

Our minds need to be renewed to keep believing in Jesus Christ and remain in His kingdom.

Let us continue to hold our direction towards Jesus and in all that He has accomplished for us.
