‭‭Acts‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation,”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The apostles and followers of Christ were moving in the divine power of God.

Each one manifests God’s glory with miracles, signs and wonders.

But the religious people who were supposed to encourage Peter and the followers of Christ are trying to stop the good things that are taking place in their midst.

Instead of rejoicing and praising God for what is happening among the believers, they came against the work of God.

Religious people who are set to do what they want will come against those who are living life and doing what God wants them to do.

Therefore, we need to be alert that these things will happen and we must not be discouraged, be distracted or give up.

When it happens, we should rejoice just like Peter, Paul and the followers of Christ. It is a privilege to be counted worthy of persecution.

Great assurance we can have knowing that because we are doing the right thing, the enemy comes against us.

People sometimes get agitated, angry and upset over people who walk with God because they know that they have no control over them and cannot bring them under their influence.

Therefore, let us rise up and continue to be steadfast in living the life of Jesus here on earth.

Blessings
