Acts 2:22 NKJV
““Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know”
Acts 2:22 NKJV
Peter in his speech declared Jesus is the Son of the living God for He worked miracles that only God can perform, taught the truth that reveals His glory and did something that have not seen before.
The word miracle is from the Greek root word “dunamis”.
The power to perform miracles.
The word wonders is from the Greek root word “teras". It means reveals the hidden truth.
The word signs is from the Greek root word “ semeion”. Which means miracle that is unusual and identifies the miracle worker.Miracles. Chosen by God.
Peter is saying that what they have just witnessed, people praying in tongues, speaking in another language is also a miracle, wonders and signs of God through His followers.
What Jesus carried in Him, the nature of God is now manifested in His followers.
Peter declared of what the church is going to look like. Instead of just Jesus, as one person walking with miracles, signs and wonders.
They are going to see Jesus walking through each one of his followers with miracles, signs and wonders.
Today as children of God who have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit becomes the power of God, dunamis. Becomes the truth, teras and becomes a set apart people who display God, semeion.
This is about a fleshly being transformed to a supernatural being.
Therefore, as supernatural being in Christ Jesus, we are to bring forth miracles, wonders and signs so that all can enjoy the life God has prepared for His children.
What was proven before through the life of Jesus is proven again through the lives of His followers.
Let us be followers of Christ, expect the supernatural power of God to manifest everyday in and through our lives.
