Peter speaks out some important things before his death. Peter knew what was the most important things in life, he speaks that we need a constant reminder of who Jesus is to us. Peter said that he will be careful to have people to remind us of this truth. Paul says in His writings to the Corinthians that " no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Reminding ourselves of the truth we all have received in Christ will renew our thought pattern from the world view to God's view. Reminding ourselves of who we are and what we have received will change the position of our battle. From our own, it becomes God's battle. The Bible declares that the battle is the Lord's. Shifting our mind to Christ daily will shift our position to rule over the world and it's a system; we are not to be dominated by it. As we are being reminded, we also need to be the channel to remind each other of the finished work of Christ in us. By reminding each other, we can keep alive the atmosphere, culture and fellowship of the kingdom of God for generations to come. For some the idea of preaching, teaching and speaking in public may be a struggle but to remind one another in our conversation should be a usual thing. Peter said that he will make sure that there will be someone raised as a reminder after his passing away. Do we have someone that we have raised to do so? As we are being reminded today, let us take our place as a reminder to others as a priority that we would raise someone to do the same. By doing so, we will save a generation that is yet to be born after we too pass from this life to be with our Maker. Blessings
