Psalms 138:2 NKJV

I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

Psalms 138:2 NKJV

The psalmist exalts and worships God because of the integrity of His word. Many can make promises but no one can guarantee 100% that they can fulfill those promises as God can.

When people, organisations or the government make promises, they are bound by conditions, circumstances and resources.

When God makes promises, there are no conditions, circumstances and will not run out of provisions.

He made promises and put power into His own word to bring about something out of nothing.

God shows us that He can be trusted yesterday, today and forever because He Himself chose to honour His own word.

God's word need to be the ultimate guide for our lives.

No prophecy, no gifts and no other books but His word alone needs to be the final authority in our lives.

Jesus is the revealed Word of God and if Jesus the Son of the Living God lives by the Word, then how much more we should be living by the Word of God.

There are going to be many ideas, philosophies and so-called prophecy that is going to come and deceive many. We need to be alert and know the Word of God so that we will not be misguided.

Let us put our trust completely in God's word as our compass for life and let the Holy Spirit of God lead us into all truth.
