You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently.

Psalms 119:4 NKJV

Precepts here are the commandments that God has given and obligations that God has set before us. It is the pre-steps God had prepared for us to follow.

God did not ask us to make some precepts, God did not want us to come up with new sets of rules and regulations but just to keep the one He gave.

God does not want us to lean on our own understanding, our own philosophy of life but to just keep living His precepts daily.

We as believers sometimes can be all over the place because we believe in whatever comes to our mind and are drawn to follow the counsel of man and not God.

The precepts that God has laid for us through Christ Jesus our Lord, we need to keep that diligently.

We need to be diligent in following His precepts. Sometimes we are not diligent enough to follow His precepts because we give in to tiredness, parties, meeting friends, doing hobbies and other things.

Sometimes we say we desire God and desire to grow spiritually yet we don't take the initiative to be there to learn. Then we are like what Jesus said in Matthew 15:8 which state that we confess only with our mouth but our hearts are far away.

God wants us to keep living in His precepts because it will bring out the abundance that God has put in each one of us.

Let us be constructive with our lives by keeping God's precepts diligently. For every precept that God has given is life and light to all mankind.
