Galatians 6:3 NKJV
For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Galatians 6:3 NKJV
Deception can keep someone from growing in God and growing to our full potential. It causes someone to live in false ideas and imagination.
Deception can come from worldly ideas, opinions, or someone we know, to deceive us. But the most dangerous deception is when someone who has made up their own mind about something, wants to live by it and make others to think the same.
Many in the world want to portray something that they are not, they make excuses to stay in their deception and in the end they achieve nothing.
We too, if we are not careful will fall into self-raised deception of doing something good when it is about something that we want to avoid.
If we think we are more righteous than others, better than others and we are sacrificing far more than others, then we are self-centred and have been deceived.
Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save the world. Our giving and serving have to be unto the Lord and not to self- consciousness.
The real fruit in our lives is when someone can taste the goodness of God through us.
Self-deception will steal away our time, energy, effort and talents that God has given to us.
If we find ourselves not growing from where we are, it is time to discipline ourselves by giving ourselves to be disciplined in God, coached and trained in the ways of God.
It is time to put away things that may seem important so that what is really important can be planted into our lives.
Let us cast aside, pull down everything that the enemy has done and start building our lives in Christ.
Blessings
