Ruth‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“I went out full, and the Lord has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the Lord has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?”

‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Elimelech, Naomi, and their two sons left Bethlehem land to Moab in search of a better life.

Israel is the land given by God, and Moab is the land of the enemy. It is a picture of leaving God and His promises to search for something else.

Naomi realised after her husband and her two sons died that she needed to go back to where the blessings are, to her hometown.

Naomi knew in her heart and repented. She came back to God and the land that is blessed by Him.

The Lord blessed Naomi and Ruth far above what their husbands had. They prospered and lived in the blessings of the Lord.

It is important for us to understand that no matter what the economy may look like or how green the pasture may look like on the other side, the place of blessings is in the will of God.

If the will of God is for us to be in the middle of the desert, then that desert will turn into a beautiful garden flowing with abundance.

We need to learn not to go after the blessings but to be seeking after the God of the blessings. Don’t seek the gift but the giver.

We heard it so many times, and we tell people about it but are we looking intentionally to be in the centre of God’s plan?

We all should journey towards what God wants for therein it is prepared all the blessings that we can never provide with our own might and strength.

Wherever God sends us, that becomes a land of blessings for the obedient.

Let us remain in God, in the place He wants us to be. Don’t roam around like we do not belong to God but find that place and grow in Him.

Blessings
