“Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.”

Here the religious leaders watched to see if Jesus would perform a miracle on the sabbath.

The religious leaders who taught about living a godly life were the ones who stood to accuse Jesus of good deeds.

They not only accused Jesus but were ready to go to an extent to kill the very one whom they were teaching about.

One of the main reasons is that they held on to their traditions and rituals higher than their beliefs.

They puff themselves up by doing the rituals and obeying the rituals rather than obeying God.

We need to be conscious of God, His character, and His word above any form of rituals.

Jesus did not die for us to carry out rituals but to start living in Him by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If we surround ourselves with people who hold on to rituals instead of having a relationship with Jesus, we will find ourselves eventually holding on to rituals rather than walking in Him.

Jesus did not break the law. Instead, He did what the law was supposed to do, that is to protect, heal, and to be at peace.

Only Jesus is able to really fulfil the law because He had no sin in Him.

We also need to understand that not everyone is going to appreciate the good things we do in the kingdom of God.

Not everyone is going to appreciate our gifting and our ability to serve the body of Christ.

Let us keep living out the life of Jesus no matter what comes our way and continue in it till the end.
