‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

At the beginning of this chapter, God spoke about the sinful state of His people.

God is not impressed with their commitment to carry out their rituals, ceremonies, and secret gatherings.

God is calling His people to have a change of heart, change of mind, and a change of lifestyle concerning Him.

God does not want us to get stuck with rituals but He wants us to have a good relationship with Him.

God wants us to know Him and live in Him. He does not want us to serve Him behind the veil.

The veil is torn when Jesus died on the cross so that we can be free from rituals and start living in His holy presence.

The old covenant is the shadow of things to come but now we are in the new covenant and we serve the Lord from His holy presence.

Just like in the days of Isaiah, God is constantly calling His children to turn from doing sacrifices to start living as a sacrifice unto the Lord.

We are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, which means to live out Jesus by the power of His Spirit.

Today we can wash ourselves by the word of God, by renewing our hearts and minds.

We are to turn every part of us towards the Lord Jesus and follow Him wholeheartedly.

Let us lay aside things that do not profit, things that cause us to live in the shadow of things instead of the reality. Start living in Jesus and in everything He has accomplished for us.

Blessings
