Psalms‬ ‭100‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”

Our God is a good good God. Most believers believe God is a good God but still think that He is going to punish the moment we make a mistake.

Some believers still carry the thought that God is the big discipline teacher or father that is always watching to punish every mistake we make.

No, God took the punishment on Himself through His Son Jesus, and in Him, we live free from punishment.

But the moment we stand outside of Jesus, we put ourselves under punishment of sin.

When man first sinned against God in the garden of Eden. Did God punish Adam and Eve? The answer is no.

It was their disobedience that brought punishment on themselves.

All God did for Adam and Eve is a plan to redeem them back to their original state which is to live in Him and in His glory.

God's mercy for mankind is everlasting and punishment was made for satan for eternity.

It is not God who punishes us when we step out of Jesus and do as satan wants. Punishment is embedded in satan's works. Therefore, when we sin, it is we who choose to be punished.

But God is always calling us to come back to Him, to be in His protection, in His love and glory.

And God’s truth is for all generations. It never stops to perform in every season and in every area of our lives.

Let us continue to remain in God who is so good and let us know and be assured that His goodness will lead us to repentance.
