“Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The word of God is perfect to bring instructions, guidance, and insight to grow spiritually in the image of Christ.

Every word of God is alive and active to produce the character, power, and life of God.

If we are not practicing the word of God and not growing spiritually, then the word of God becomes just knowledge.

If we are not growing spiritually, then we will repeat the elementary lifestyle of repentance, and keep doing the same mistakes again and again.

We must keep growing from repentance to conquering our habitual sins and thought patterns that are not pleasing to the Lord.

Growing in maturity means the word of God has turned from just knowledge to shaping our lifestyle according to the image of Christ.

It is not about how long we have been a follower of Jesus but it is about how much we have grown into reflecting the image of Christ.

It is about changing our language, our way of thinking, and our responses to our challenges.

As mature followers of Jesus, we must move away from debates, gossip, idle talks, and judging others to pursuing and displaying Jesus.

Let’s not just hear, talk or say about Jesus but let us change our minds by renewing them according to our new image in Christ.
