Our adversary the devil is always looking for someone whom he can devour. That means he is only able to devour certain types of people.
The enemy cannot devour because he wants to, he has no power to do so unless he sees a person without power, protection and isolated.
Who will be the target for the enemy to devour? Those who live in fear, those who reject God and those who partake of satan's work.
But if we are steadfast in our faith, believing, speaking and living out God’s promises then the enemy has no opportunity to devour.
Believers have been blessed to have not only protection from the evil one but also the power to resist, to cast him out.
We may face some challenges, may go through some storms in life and sufferings. When that happens, we must not give in to fear, unbelief or doubt God’s promises.
The word of God tells us that we are not the only one who are going through the storms of life, but everyone in the kingdom is walking through it.
We have the power to resist the devil and all of his works. We need to resist his thoughts, his feelings and actions.
Knowing that at the end of the storms of life, there is a great life awaiting us all.
Therefore, let us be steadfast in Christ, resist the enemy and live in the glory of God.
