Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus told His disciples to launch the boat to go to the other side of the lake. As they sailed, Jesus fell asleep.

Then came a storm that threatened the safety of the people in the boat.

It seemed like they were not going to make it to the other side, and they panicked.

There is always a lesson, knowledge, discovery, and purpose in every storm that comes our way in life.

Storms can let us know where we stand in God. It helps us check do we really know our God the way we should and it will test our faith in God.

This storm was not a storm to kill the disciples but to let them know that no weapon that is formed against them will prosper.

Even though this storm looked like it was going to take them under, this storm is really to let the disciples know that greater is He that is in the boat than everything else that is outside of the boat.

Can a boat sink with the Creator of the lake in the boat?

Does the storm have the power to kill when the Master of the storm is in the boat?

But without the storm, we will never experience who we really are in Christ. Every challenge that comes our way is a setup to display the God who lives in us.

Who is it that lives in us?

Whose word do we have and believe?

If we can see and believe, then we can come through every storm victoriously.

We must let the setup build our faith but if take a step back instead, it robs us of our destiny.

Don’t close the opportunities that God has created with pride, fear, and unbelief.

Let us put our faith into action and believe in the One who has called us and commissioned us.

Blessings
