Leviticus 1:3 NKJV
"If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord.”
Leviticus 1:3 NKJV
The sacrifice that people brought in the Old Testament is the shadow of things to come.
The shadow has been revealed in the New Testament through Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
A person brings an unblemished animal without spots or wrinkles. It speaks of the purity that the person desires to be.
He brings something before the Lord that will speak of what he will be after the sacrifice, which is to be pure and holy.
The word of God tells us that if the blood of bulls and goats sanctify the flesh, how MUCH MORE will the blood of Christ sanctify our spirit, soul, and body.
We ought to bring ourselves as a living sacrifice in Christ who is our eternal sacrificial Lamb of God.
We speak, believe, and walk as one who has been redeemed and purified by Jesus Christ.
We present ourselves before the Lord daily as ones who have been sanctified, anointed, and set apart for His kingdom and for His glory.
We need to believe that Christ has made us pure, and holy, without spot or wrinkle. We are worthy vessels of His glory.
We should not bring ourselves before God as a sinner, without the redemption or without hope.
It is impossible to please God without faith. We must believe and accept all that He has made us to be.
Let us bring ourselves in Christ's offering and take on His holiness, His image, and His likeness.
Let us live life as a living sacrifice as Christ Jesus made us to be.
Blessings
