‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul who has received insight, and revelation of the truth about Jesus and the works He has accomplished for all mankind could not speak to the people on the same level.

There are many powerful ways to live in His kingdom but because of their carnal mindset, Paul could not teach them what he had received from the Lord.

This is because they are still perceiving things in the natural and relating from their carnal senses.

The word of God tells us that to be carnally minded is death.

To be carnally minded means to perceive things from our five senses, believing and managing our lives from the senses of our nature.

God made a plan for mankind to be spiritually minded by sending Jesus Christ to die for our carnality and bring us to life in His Spirit.

We cannot receive the things of God and understand them from our five senses. It got to be revealed to us by His Holy Spirit.

Spiritual things cannot be discerned carnally.

Spiritual things need to be discerned spiritually.

The kingdom of God is not a natural kingdom and is not governed by natural things.

The kingdom of God is a supernatural kingdom that is governed by His supernatural power, wisdom, and knowledge.

We cannot take the word of God and apply it carnally. It will create division, confusion, and destruction.

This is because to be carnally minded is to be self-centered, self-pity, self-righteous, and self-important.

We have to see beyond our five senses, beyond our own needs, and see the heart of our Father in heaven and live in His ways.

There will not be any talk about who is greater, what do I gain from this, envy, jealousy, and strive if we discern things spiritually.

God wants us to walk in the spirit, live in the spirit, and do His work by the power of His Spirit.

Let us continue to submit ourselves to Christ and live in the power of His Spirit.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
