“Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you.””

Jesus who is the King of Kings, the ruler would want to avoid offending with regards to not so important things. For Jesus, there are more important things to stand for then arguing about taxes.

The amazing part about this event is that Jesus who is able to produce the money in an instance would choose to go the long way.

Jesus told Peter the fisherman to cast a hook and told him the first fish that bites will have the resources to take care of the payments.

Jesus taught his disciples that the impossible is possible if we would choose to believe God’s word though it seems like the craziest thing on earth.

To have a fish carrying a coin in the mouth is impossible, for that fish who is swimming in the big sea to come to Peter on his first cast is impossible and for it to have the right amount in the fish's mouth is impossible.

This is the reason our God is known as the God of the impossible.

Even though it seems the craziest thing to do yet because it is Jesus who said it, therefore it will be so to those who would believe.

We need to conclude all our reasonings to believe God and whatever God has spoken, then it will take place if we believe.

This shows us that no matter what goes on out there in the world and no matter what our situation may be, if we believe and live according to God’s directions and His word, we will see the miracles.

Let us not limit God by our unbelief but hope, trust and hold on to God’s word until we see the full manifestation of His promises.
