Our new identity in Christ is formed in truth and our old identity is formed in lies when sin entered the world.
Therefore lying must not be part of our life.
We must speak in truth, be truthful and sincerely stand for the truth.
Many think they don’t lie, but we lie about the truth because we don’t want to hurt others.
We say things just to make people happy even if it is not the truth.
The truth will speak to someone as it is and encourage them to do better. The truth will make us realise where we are. Therefore we can journey towards our goal.
If we say to someone “ wow that is a nice coffee” when it is not, we have lied and not helped that person to be better or correct the mistakes.
Truth sometimes can be uncomfortable to speak, but if we love them, we must speak the truth as it sets us all free.
If all our deeds are filled with truth and we overcome every lie that is out there with the truth, then we become agents of true freedom.
We become true agents of life that build each other in truth and in love.
Every area of growth in life involves change. Good change begins to happen when the truth is spoken and bad change happens when someone lies.
Be truthful about everything as it will help us come out of darkness into God’s marvellous light.
Therefore, let us all be in truth and live life as children of the truth and glorify Our Lord Jesus Christ.
