‭‭‭‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭11:2‬ ‭NKJV

“Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭11:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul praised the Corinthian church for their eagerness to follow the Lord and their desire to be faithful.

Paul also brought correction to help the Corinthian believers not to move in the flesh but remember Christ is the head over us all.

The word 'tradition' used here by Paul in Greek is “paradoseis” which means to be handed down or passed along.

Paul is not speaking about keeping rituals, certain traditions or customs according to culture in their days but keeping and passing along the message of the gospel of the kingdom of God.

Every message of the kingdom of God is never meant to die with us. It is meant to live on, in and out of us to touch others.

The message of the gospel of God’s kingdom needs to be passed along and handed down to all mankind.

Failing to pass it along or failing to hand it down to the next generation will deprive them of the truth which can set them free from the lies and deceit of the world.

We need to pass on everything we learn about the kingdom of God to our families, children and our friends.

As a result, everyone will be blessed by the truth of God’s word.

Let us continue to pass along and hand down everything God has blessed us with and teach everyone that the kingdom of God is within us.

Blessings

Ps Ambrose
