Mark 1:15 NKJV
“and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Mark 1:15 NKJV
Jesus started preaching and teaching about the kingdom of God. The gospel that Jesus preached was the gospel of the kingdom.
Jesus is calling people to repent and believe in the gospel of God’s kingdom.
Jesus is the fulfilment of God's Kingdom and establishing that kingdom here on earth. After He paid the penalty of sin, Jesus brought back to mankind what Adam lost in the garden - the kingdom of God.
Jesus said to repent. Repent means to stop and turn in the opposite direction or change of mindset.
Jesus is preaching a message calling people to turn away from the kingdom of this world, to turn from the power and influence of satan towards God’s kingdom.
Jesus is calling us to turn our hearts and minds toward our Father in heaven who is a good King and who desires every child of His to be blessed by His abundance.
Jesus is calling His people to a Kingdom that has its own laws, own system and own culture which are designed to bless His children.
We need to change our mindset from a democratic ideology which most of us live in, to a kingdom ideology.
This means the King’s opinion matters, the King’s word is absolute and the culture that the King sets is how His people are expected to live.
This is set by God to take us out of the kingdom of bondage, slavery,
sin- consciousness, condemnation, poverty and death to live in His Kingdom which sets us free.
Freedom from satan and his kingdom come when we are transformed in our minds and hearts, believing in God and His kingdom.
Therefore, the message that Jesus was preaching and teaching are to invite us to His kingdom and be free from the curse of satan's kingdom.
If we live under a kingdom, we are protected by the king, we enjoy the prosperity of the king and live in his kingdom culture.
Let us continue to renew our minds and hearts to that culture, and system of the kingdom of God and worship the King of kings.
Blessings
