I Corinthians 3:3 NKJV

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

I Corinthians 3:3 NKJV

Paul highlighted what living in the spirit and what living in the flesh looks like. It is a great way to identify where we are spiritually and to deal with carnal ways that are still dominating our lives.

When we are attracted to quarrelling, telling people off to feel good about ourselves, gossiping, murmuring, complaining and looking for recognition from man, we are being dominated by our flesh in those areas.

We need to start rehearsing who we are in those areas by focusing and bringing that area of our lives under subjection thus renewing our minds in the image of God.

When we get hold of who we are in Christ, there will be nothing else that is more important than that.

There is no need to strife, quarrel, or try to be somebody else when we are of God. When we get hold of the truth about our true identity, everything Paul talked about on carnality will end.

Carnality ends when we switch on to who we are in the spirit, bought by the precious blood of Jesus, separated from the world to be partakers of God's divine nature.

This is where our hearts and minds need to be focused on and nurtured because to be spiritually minded is life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let us keep switching on to Jesus every time we are tempted to join into things that edifies the flesh.

Let us keep building ourselves in the Spirit and in His truth.

Blessings
