Philippians 4:1 NKJV
Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
Philippians 4:1 NKJV
In the previous chapter, Paul was speaking about having the same mind that was in Christ, in Paul also to be in us. Life is too precious and our mission in this world is too great for us to live without knowing our true purpose.
Jesus said, "I came to do the will of my Father." Jesus showed us an example that the life He lived, He lived fulfilling His Father's desire.
Paul is teaching us the same thing that is to have the mind of Christ in everything we say and do.
Will the words we speak be acceptable before our Father? Will our writings, our clothing, the state of our hearts and minds be in line with the image of God?
It is important for us to keep track of where we are heading because every day we are being transformed in our thinking and it affects our future.
This is the reason we have to stand fast in the Lord. We need to refresh ourselves in the Lord constantly walk in His ways.
Paul said many who walked with Jesus not only have turned away but have become enemies of God.
God's kingdom and satan's kingdom is before us to partake. If we choose God's kingdom by living in it then little by little, precept upon precept and line upon line we will be built according to the kingdom of God.
Let us be vigilant by having the image of God as our mirror.
Let us discard everything else that is not of God and put on the mind of Christ every day.
Blessings
