II Timothy 2:15 NKJV

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

II Timothy 2:15 NKJV

Paul encouraged Timothy, his spiritual son in the Lord, to present himself approved before God, a worker that is not ashamed of God and to rightly present the word of God.

The first lesson in this verse is to know who is the one we are looking up to when we serve. Who is the one we look to for approval or to please?

Paul taught Timothy that whatever he does, it has to be done unto the Lord. Presenting his service, his words, his actions, his life to the one and only true God.

Therefore, Timothy will not be disappointed in his service because God never fails and His love endures forever.

The second thing Paul taught Timothy was to be a worker of the kingdom of God. Many believers talk about God but hardly do anything about the knowledge and the promises they have received from God.

We need to live life as a contributor in the kingdom of God and not be ashamed to stand for the truth of God's word.

Lastly, Paul taught Timothy to rightly divide the word of God. Dividing the word of God means to show a clear cut between what is of God and what is not.

We are to present ourselves as vessels cut by the word of God and not to the ideology of man so we can teach the truth that liberates people and not put them in bondage.

Paul taught us that we should not be wasting our time in bickering, arguing and debating, instead we should be living the gospel of Christ.

The word of God in us needs to be accompanied by our actions. We are to be the word of God by our actions.

Let us do everything unto God, working with God and display His truth in and through our lives.

Blessing
