John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John's ministry was powerful and people came from far to see him, hear him and was baptised by him. He was preaching a baptism of repentance.

John was passionate to tell people to change their hearts of sinfulness and to a heart for God. He knew that he did not have the power to change them internally but only getting them ready for what is to come that can change them internally.

John spoke about Jesus that had the power to change lives inside out because Jesus will baptize the people with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Before Jesus can baptize people with the Holy Spirit and fire, He first needed to redeem mankind from the kingdom of darkness.

Jesus gave His sinless, holy and pure life as a ransom to take us out of satan's kingdom so that He can establish His kingdom in us.

After Jesus's death and resurrection, Jesus baptised people who believed in Him with the Holy Spirit and fire.

God's Spirit brings out God's image in us and His fire purges out the bad habits, ungodly mindset and corrupted desires.

The Holy Spirit of God seals us as one with God like the dust of gold which is melted in a pot. God's fire clears the old sinful likeness out of us when the fire brings out the dross to be cleared out of our lives.

Today we are all like John the Baptist, to share Jesus. To share the gospel of Christ, so that all can become to be one through Christ our Lord.

Let us continue to yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to bring out Christ in us and remove the impurities out of our soul and body.
