Matthew 12:29 NKJV
Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
Matthew 12:29 NKJV
Jesus knowing the thoughts of the Pharisees spoke that no kingdom would divide and destroy itself.
Instead, it will fight against its enemies to conquer them.
Then in this verse, Jesus said the way to do it is to first bind the strong man. The strong man here is the force that controls, manipulate and is in charge of a person, a system, a community or a place.
As believers, we have one enemy and that is satan. We come against his system and his plans. The enemy, satan, has set up strongholds in places and also built strongholds in our minds when we give attention to his plans and his ways.
Jesus is teaching us to take the strong man down by the weapons of our warfare in the spirit. We are to tear down and bind the strong man by the power of God's Spirit.
Through Christ, we have received authority, power and dominion over every power of the enemy. Therefore, we can bind the strong man in Jesus Name and take back what the enemy had stolen from us.
No weapon in the world will ever be as strong as what God Almighty has given to us, the Church.
The problem is we often think we are not supposed to fight against the forces of darkness.
We think we don't have the power or capability to do such a thing.
We are in a war.
If we don't see it or feel it, it does not mean it is not happening. The enemy is stealing our joy, peace, love, assets and loved ones through the system satan has infiltrated into our society.
As a church and as believers, we need to raise up and take up our God-given supernatural weapon and pull down every stronghold, bind them and cast them out in Jesus Name.
We as a church need to be vigilant and awake in the spirit and fight against every lie and deceit of satan.
Pray for those in authority that they don't get sucked into the plans of the devil.
As the scriptures say, after having done all we are to stand firm in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Blessings
