Colossians 1:3 NKJV

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

Colossians 1:3 NKJV

Paul and Timothy are expressing their gratitude towards God when they see the Colossian believers flourishing in the kingdom of God.

Every person that God has brought into our lives are precious. God brought them together to encourage us, to sharpen us and to strengthen our walk in the kingdom.

To give thanks to God for all of them is to be grateful and appreciate each one of them.

Paul and Timothy also expressed their gratitude for their commitment by always praying for them.

Praying for those God has sent our way, praying for our leaders and members in the body is like watering and keeping the soil ready to receive the seeds of God's word.

When we pray for each other according to all God has established through Christ, our Lord, we surround ourselves and each other with the atmosphere of the kingdom of God and what is in it.

We thank God for making us the head and not the tail, we thank God for raising us up to sit together with Him in heavenly places, we thank God for giving us the keys of the kingdom, we thank God for the authority to trample over snakes and scorpions.

When we pray according to what Jesus has established for us every day, it's like prophesying life into the body of Christ.

This will eliminate personal agendas, self-centred desires and it will help the body to focus on Jesus and His kingdom.

Prayer is a powerful weapon that God has blessed everyone with. We can pray and do more damage to the enemy's camp if we stop complaining and replace it with prayer.

We can use this time to pray during this pandemic and when we are able to go out we will be able to reap what we have sown.

Let us pray and water every soul in the kingdom by praying for all that Jesus has done for them so that we can move in His demonstration power and glory.

Blessings

Ambrose Francis
