Acts 9:10 NKJV
Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”
Acts 9:10 NKJV
The Lord could have spoken to Ananias or do to him what needs to be done, but instead, God chose to work with and through His children.
There were many, in the book of Acts, who knew God but it was to Ananias that God chose to work with. I believe it is because Ananias was willing to do what God would tell him to do.
Ananias had his reasons why he should not do what God told him to do but he did it anyway according to what God had spoken.
There are many things we can learn from God in this passage. Firstly God speaks to us today.
God speaks to us in many ways, He speaks through visions, through His written word, through a conversation with people, through reading a book, through seeping a cup of tea and the list goes on.
This is because God does not need a certain way or use certain methods to speak to us. God wants to communicate with us more than we desire to communicate with Him.
When we give attention to what we are receiving from God in whatever way it may be, we open ourselves to an opportunity to doing what He is showing us to do.
When God speaks, it is important to respond by doing it. We become sensitive to God communicating with us when we keep doing what He is saying.
The more we do what He says, the more sensitive we become to recognizing God and His leading.
On the other hand, if we don't respond to God when He is communicating with us, the less sensitive we become in communicating with God.
Let us continue to train ourselves in God, communicating daily by responding to do all that He is telling us to do.
